In the sewer under-city of Midocian, the tunnels are winding and dark and often nonsensical in layout, but everyone living there knows the way to the Midocian Gym. The gym is set up in one of the unused dead-ends of the sewer, and though the huge room has been sufficiently tidied up and is at least dimly-lit, it still looks and smells like a sewer; the walls are concrete and unsightly sludge always manages to ooze its way in through cracks or trailed after poison-type Pokemon. Metal stairs on either side of the room lead up to an elevated walkway where the gym leader, Vaughn, is typically perched and squinting down at a book or some notes he's been taking. If he isn't in his gym, there's a good chance he's somewhere else in the sewer, so one only needs to ask around a bit to find him.
