[Very sorry for the wait :x]
Venipede sighed and shook his head at the human, who seemed to pay him no mind whatsoever. That in itself was insult enough. But worse yet, the Snubbull was acting as the human's mouthpiece - feh! Another human-lover.
<You aren't allowed in our forest,> he hissed, scrambling toward Adrienne on his little insect legs. <No humans or human-lovers. So you'd better leave - or I'll remove you by force.>
Oh, yeah. This was gonna get ugly.
In fact, if there were a scale of ugliness, this Venipede's actions would be pretty high up on the scale - because when he used his Poison Sting attack, he launched his little stinger not toward Adrienne, but instead toward Avery himself. Then he made a noise not unlike a hissing laugh - he knew that humans were foolish and violent, and that this one was likely no exception. Even if Avery were poisoned, he'd probably still expend the time and effort to teach this bug a lesson by battling him.
Just as planned.
Venipede attacks! Venipede uses Poison Sting on Avery!

Avery hadn't been expecting that; sure, he'd heard of vicious Pokemon before, and knew there was no unspoken law of physics preventing any Pokemon from attacking a human if they so chose, but he'd assumed that, with his Pokemon out, the little Venipede, if he launched an attack, would launch it at either Adrienne or the floating, hovering Duskull. Thus, when the creature hissed something and launched a Poison Sting his way, Avery was woefully unprepared, and taken by surprise.
His thick trench coat was a fortunate asset in this case: it shielded his body from most of the attack. However, by reflex, he'd brought his arms up to attempt to shield himself, and a few of those poisonous little barbs just-so-happened to catch themselves on his wrist and hand, eliciting a sharp little gasp of surprise from the ginger. He took a few steps back, blinking and glancing down at the area which was already beginning to string and throb rather painfully, brows furrowing in obvious concern. That... couldn't be good, right? That was probably pretty fucking bad, honestly. He wasn't entirely certain how potent Venipede poison was to a human, though he was fairly sure it was going to have quite a few nasty side-effects. He determined that trying to find his way out of the horrible death forest was probably a good idea.
Adrienne, however, seemed to have a different plan. The Snubbull's large fangs were bared into a truly fierce snarl as she shot a glare at the Venipede. It certainly had the chance to Intimidate somebody, and one could also say that it was a pretty Scary Face. How dare this bug attack her trainer? A little snarl rippled from her throat as she launched herself at the Venipede, ignoring Avery's words of protest as she attempted to ram her body into the Venipede in a full-fledged Tackle.
"Adrienne, wait...! M-maybe we should just go..."
The Snubbull wasn't listening, and Avery bit hard at his lip as he rummaged in his pockets, pulling out an empty Pokeball and returning the Duskull floating around. He ignored the fact that the tips of his fingers on his one hand were beginning to feel pretty numb (thinking about THAT wasn't going to help at all), and he pulled out Adrienne's Pokeball as well, holding it uncertainly and debating whether it'd be better to simply return the Snubbull and flee at this rate.

The poison-type hissed in triumph as his spines imbedded themselves into the human's vulnerable flesh. Honestly he didn't know if his venom could be lethal to such a large creature, but Avery certainly seemed to be feeling the effects of it at least. And, just as he'd expected, the man's Pokemon just kept fighting. Silly humans and their Pokemon - so prone to violence.
"Heh heh, yesss... punish me! Defeat me for your 'master', if you can!" he taunted, curling into a tight ball. Intimidate and Scary Face had weakened and slowed his muscles, but that meant little to him - as far as he was concerned, all he had to do was wait. He allowed the Snubbull's attack to hit his tough spiny exoskeleton, knowing that his Poison Point ability would likely serve as a nasty surprise. And just in case that didn't work, he sent a volley of poison spines flying in Adrienne's direction, too.

This was not going well. In fact, on a scale, this was going the precise opposite of well: (read: completely and horrifically shitty). Avery grimaced at the little yelp of pain that the Snubbull emitted as she struck the Venipede, one of those spines digging painfully into her figure and successfully poisoning her. The Venipede barely looked perturbed by any of this, and, though Avery was no expert, thought the creature almost sounded... pleased? The hell?
He gritted his teeth as he shifted about, movements already feeling just slightly off. He had a bold plan in mind, but, there wasn't much time to pull it off. Sure, Venipede poison in such a small amount might not be deadly, but, it was going to debilitate him for at least a while. The man stiffened a little as more poisonous spines found their way into the Snubbull's flesh, though Adrienne was holding fast, fury making her numbed to the pain, at least for the moment. She didn't even seem to be aware that her health was slowly but steadily ebbing away.
Avery glanced down at that Pokeball, sighing as he made his decision. "Return, Adrienne!" he ordered; to the Snubbull's surprise and protest, she found herself getting sucked right into that Pokeball, leaving just Avery and the Venipede. What was Avery's bold plan, then? Surely he didn't intend to take on a Pokemon by himself. ... Nope, his bold plan involved two words: fucking RUN.
... Well, it started out as a run, anyways, as Avery attempted to get away from the large bug. Even if he was successful, however, that run would begin to turn into more of a stumbling fast-walk than an actual run, as it was already getting difficult to move his body the way he wanted it to move. Hopefully the Venipede would merely be happy with chasing them off.
Adrienne is poisoned and takes damage! Adrienne is returned! Avery FLEES from battle! Osht.
(Sorry for the semi-shitty post, trying to get back into actually posting. xD)
