All throughout Decona, small and colorful lockboxes have been appearing in even the most remote locations. Similarly, colored keys are turning up everywhere. The phenomenon has been attributed to a flock of Delibird that has been spotted traveling the region in the company of Klefki.
Interestingly, it seems that a box will contain different items based on its color and the color of the key used to open it. Explorers of the region are eagerly gathering keys and boxes to see what combinations produce which results! There are eleven different colors of boxes and keys, so there are quite a few combinations.
To acquire keys for your character, simply continue to do what you have been doing: roleplay! Every new IC thread created (after 11/9/13) has a chance of generating a key or lockbox. After the 5th post has been made within this thread, a mod will post in the thread announcing whether or not a key/box has been found, and if so, which key or box it is. The creator of the thread will receive the item, and may choose which of their characters keeps the item, if the creator has two characters.
Members are free to trade keys in an effort to find new combinations, and a single player's characters may swap items freely, unlike with most property trades on Decona. All interactions regarding lockboxes and keys may be done OOC.
When you are ready to use a key on a lockbox, post in this thread with the key and box you intend to use. Note that whichever character is currently in possession of the key and box is the character who will ultimately receive the items from the box, at which point those items cannot be passed around OOC. |
