Name: Mitsu
Nickname(s)/Alias(es): Mitsy
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Pokemorph?: Nope
Appearance:
Personality:
Mitsu is very laid back about almost anything you can think of. He doesn't get offended easily, actually he probably wouldn't even notice if you were trying to be offensive. He subconsciously finds ways to give someone the benefit of the doubt and look at the situation in some sort of light. This results in opposers doing one of two things: getting extremely weirded out by the guy and his freaky kindness, or increasing their irritation. He's never been beat up or anything though so that's always a plus.
He's not stupid by any stretch! Though unfortunately he is quite gullible and ignorant to the dangers of the world having grown up in a small town of honest folks. Giving people a lot of chances is sometimes a good thing, but no matter how much you may want to help someone there are times that it's impossible to reach the heart. The concept is foreign to him, but hopefully, in time, he will learn to understand that you will run into circumstances where you just have to let go.
Mitsu is extremely energetic and bubbly but he is also not... If that makes sense. He's not the type to be bouncing off the walls and such, but he's always up for just about anything, and really enjoys dancing around and listening to music or singing. This is usually reserved for when he's walking or trying to cheer people up. He rarely sings when asked though because it's not something he flaunts for attention, he simply enjoys it. He comes by it naturally and it tends to be an outlet. But there are also times he just goes flat out like he's in a music video and won't stop until he's finished the song... Hopefully you're not taking the moment to seriously. It will be ruined.
He's also really into vibrant colors and wacky garbs, most likely because he's slightly color blind in one eye and has no sense of what goes together and what does not. Surprisingly though he turns out presentable more often than not!
When he's not singing or dancing about he's actually pretty average and, besides his wardrobe, is pretty approachable. He's very polite, though kind of overly honest at times, and really enjoys helping people out. This goes for pokemon as well.
Mitsu is very rarely sad, at least on the outside. He doesn't talk about any kind of sadness or anger, some think he doesn't have the ability to feel these things! We all know that it's extremely unlikely, but only he would know. He doesn't fancy throwing emotional confetti at others, whether he has it or not, but he is always smiling. Only great sorrow, impending peril or dire circumstances would alter such a guy. Of course these things are in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes a dire circumstance means there's no more peanut butter.
Something else that is foreign to him is sexual attraction. He understands that some people are considered prettier than others, and he can sit there all day and point out who he is cute or ugly... But only if you're torturing him. He would never judge an individual on their appearance! It may seem like an after school special but he believes that everyone is awesome because of their differences.
History:
Mitsu grew up in Azalea town, back in the Johto region. He lived with his foster family, who owned a little soup kitchen in the heart of the community. He never ended up leaving them, not had he wanted to, it all felt so right to him and he wasn't about to let go of something that made him feel like he was home! Thankfully they shared his sentiment, and though they didn't stop fostering other children, Mitsu became a permanent part of the family.
They always seemed to be the lucky ones; not one child that went through their home was ungrateful or troublesome. Mitsu got along with them all very well, and though he enjoyed his time with them it was always sad when they were adopted. He never let them see him frown though, not ever. As they say, parting is such sweet sorrow, and that may be so, but he wanted their kick off into a new family to be a great one. No regrets! No looking back!
There was a part of his life where his parents stopped taking on foster children because his father got very sick. The lack of bustle around the house saddened Mitsu and he could see it was draining his mother as well, in addition to all the emotional stress. It was at that point that Mitsu began to develop his child like demeanor. It wasn't that he became childish, but he did want mundane tasks to be fun for his family. So he'd make up silly little songs and goofy walks as he helped out. It did wonders for everyone. Thankfully his father ended up having a full recovery! And life at home went back to normal.
---------------------
When Mitsu got older he ended up taking care of the soup kitchen almost completely on his own. His foster parents weren't very young when they brought him home and they were getting up there in age. He was grateful to them for bringing him up and he wanted to help out more so they could have some time to themselves. He worked there on his own for 4 years.
--------------------
Mitsu was now twenty. You would never tell, he aged quite well and he still had a silly air about him, but he was starting to feel like he wanted something more. This was a very foreign emotion to him, he had never ever wished for more than he had, and he believed he would live in that town for the rest of his life and grown old and happy like everyone else. It wasn't that he wanted great adventure or perilous outings. At least not at the moment. But he did have this odd tugging sensation to see other places.
So one morning he packed his things ad broke the news to his parents. They were completely behind him on the matter and admitted that they were actually kind of surprised he hadn't made the decision to leave sooner. They said it would be a good experience for him and they would like nothing more than for him to get out and spend some time elsewhere, not in a bad way of course. Like any parent they would have loved to be with him forever, but life goes on.
With a sigh of relief and kiss and hug, he was out the door and on the road.
-------------------
He received a lot of weird looks while he traveled. He knew next to nothing about anything outside of Azalea town and everyone around him seemed to be a lot younger. He was really behind after all! It was a little embarrassing but he quickly got used to it, and confidently pressed forward with his usual toothy grin.
He didn't really know what he was going to do with himself though. There was the obvious choice of just about anything pokemon related, but he didn't really know anything besides how to be in a kitchen. There was a gym in his town but bug pokemon kind of creeped him out a little so he steered clear most of the time. He didn't have anything against them of course. Just not his thing.
So like most people he just decided to wander around in career limbo until he felt something nudge him in the right direction. If it ain't broke don't fix it right? That's how he'd grown up. H stayed with that foster family because he felt it was the right thing, and he also made the decision to leave because he felt it was the right thing... Things... would work out eventually.
Without another thought he ended up dancing his way down the route, whistling his favorite tune, in search of the right path.
--------------------
A few months passed and he found himself on a boat, heading towards the Decona Region. This definitely felt right to him!
