Name: Shintara Loonins
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Pokemorph: Mightyena
Appearance:
Shintara is 5'5" and walks with a straight posture, her hands up upon her hips to give an air of confidence or perhaps impatience. Her short hair is a shaggy coal-black mess, unkempt and jutting out particularly badly where it ends around her neck. The top would be as wild, if not for the tattered sky-blue baseball-style cap she wears; sometimes with the shady bill facing forward and other times it turned back. The front of the cap has 'ALL ★STAR' written on it in bold white lettering.
Her face has wide cheeks that are pushed up by a sly, cheeky smile with off-colored fanged teeth - maybe her expression could be described as someone who thinks they're an "all star." Whilst her eyes are frankly unusual, as the irises are a fierce crimson and the "whites" are actually tinted a pale yellow, giving them an almost sickly look. But then again she is a Pokemorph, starkly noticeable in the wolfish ears that jut up from her head, the same color as her obsidian hair, her sharply clawed feet and hands, and the long-haired Mighyena-like tail of her body.
To be said, Tara has a dirty, unwashed look about her. Her clothes are worn out, the hem of her blue-jeans battered and torn with a patch in the left knee. She doesn't even wear shoes and simply bandages her soles, leaving the calloused and dirty front and heel exposed to the ground. Her long shirt is slightly better off, it has 'TURN BACK' in fat black letters on the front center, giving some ominous unintentional sign to her disposition.
She looks happy, though, in her filth and is often smiling. When she is angry, however, her face is quite the thing; her nose curls and growls rumble behind her teeth, that are exposed in a much fiercer way than her often-seen grin. If you get close enough to her she has a dog-like stench, that she doesn't seem to acknowledge hardly at all. She likes to go swimming in warm waters, and while this does help the stench in ways, purging her of much grime, a faint hint of wet dog pervades for some time.
Personality:
Tara is very hospitable to those who she likes and will do a lot for them, but expects them to be loyal to her and will turn quickly on them if she suspects they are not. She forms a group of people around her that she welcomes, and is suspicious of those who are not in this "pack." These accepted beings often include her Pokemon, too, but not necessarily; she is suspicious just as well of Pokemon and those new to her team.
A bubbly nature is her first face, seeming joyous. She laughs and grins, having quite a lot of fun. Though, her fun is sometimes perilous to others and she knows this. Yet, simultaneously acknowledging the evil in it, she doesn't like those who try to interrupt her. She doesn't like to listen to anyone, but is interested in the words of other Pokemorphs a tad more - nonetheless, she will fight them just the same.
She grew up in a rich household but has forfeited all her past money. Now, she finds entertainment in causing ruckus in dealing with money. This means, stealing from people. Not for her own gain, really, nor does she steal things for their monetary value, as she doesn't wish to sell anything or find wealth again. Rather, wants to just cause havoc by depriving that person in some way.
When provoked, there is another side to Shintara that is frightening. She received the injection to become a Mightyena 'morph due to her parent's money and gained many fine attributes, physically and mentally - she has both human logic and Pokemon reason, longer stamina, among others. Although, before the injection, she had some anger issues toward her parents. When she became a 'morph, this underlying anger mutated and multiplied, in combination with the power and nature of a Mightyena, to make her have vicious spells.
These times of danger do not have any set schedule, nor is it easy to pinpoint what will make them occur. When they do happen, Shintara will attack others with fierceness that can only be physically reasoned with. She can work herself up into them, or outside factors can cause them - the latter being more common than the former. In the past, due to these, she has woken up with wounds from bruises to gashes, the more severe of which she has had to seek treatment she herself could not provide.
Shintara possesses a fair range of knowledge applicable to traveling by herself with Pokemon. She knows how to make a fire (though of course a fire-type is quicker and handier), things to eat in the wild, how to set up basic traps, find or make shelter, and locate drinking water. She took classes that her parents paid for before she ran away.
History:
Shintara was once the daughter of a wealthy family who lived in Midocian City. She was the middle child and while she was loved, it was not so dearly as her two siblings. Her family had enough money for all three of them to do what they wanted, however, and Shintara spent her time by herself learning things. They went to banquets and everyone was charmed by the three children, who their parents thought would all grow up into fine, successful people.
At the banquets, where the rich mingled, Shintara fell ear to talk of Pokemorphs. She even saw a few, and was quite curious, as she was a learner of things. Her parents weren't interested in becoming Pokemorphs, but Shintara certainly was. The attention fell on her siblings, however. On the 17th birthday of her older brother, Theon, he became a Raichu 'morph, and Tara was decidedly jealous and resentful.
She asked her parents if she could become a Pokemorph and they said no. It was not for any reason, they said, but Shintara suspected it was because her parents though she deserved no more attention, which she would likely get by becoming a Pokemorph. She spent the next year asking, but by her 14th birthday the answer was still no. They gave her money and a nice diamond necklace for her birthday, but no shot, what she wanted most.
By her 14-year-old self, Tara schemed. She went into the city and pawned the necklace for a heavy sum, then on top of that accumulated more money by stealing from her parents. The girl didn't think that her parents needed all the luxuries they had. One day, her parents found out she was stealing from them and were furious. They did not know the vast extent she had already stolen from them, however, and thus the money she'd been keeping remained safe.
Lower down the ladder of her parent's affection was Shintara put by her thieving. She began to dislike her parents more and more. They didn't think to punish their daughter very harshly because they thought it was just a nasty boil that was now popped, and no more of a problem. But now they kept a closer eye on her and didn't like her going out as freely as she once did.
This infuriated Shintara, as her siblings went and came like the breeze. It was her punishment, but she couldn't go to the library, where she liked to read, nor the city's park, with a cool pond, interesting people and 'morphs to be seen. Her parents were afraid to bring her around the rich people at the banquets in case a gold watch went missing, and Shintara became wound up.
Eventually they relaxed and let their daughter go out on a sunny day, but by then she was so tightly wounded that off she went like a jet into the darker parts of town, immediately defying their hesitant trust. Here she found a surgeon who would inject her without parental consent and she handed the surgeon her money. She chose to become a Mightyena 'morph, as she admired the free wildness of the Pokemon, and thus it was.
Although, the shot did not go perfectly. The change was painful, and for two days and nights Sintara was stuck at the shady surgeon's. When she did come home, with ears, a tail, new eyes, fangs and claws, her parents were not so mad at that she was a 'morph, but had done so without their consent knew that she had been stealing more money.
They, as respected wealthy citizens, felt the need to "put their daughter in line." They could say that they had let Shintara become a Pokemorph, but her behavior could not continue if she was to represent the family. Additionally, now her little brother innocently wanted, too, to become a 'morph like his two older siblings, and the parents were frustrated.
Her parents threatened to send her to a reform academy far out of the city, and Shintara went wild, unaccustomed to the emotions this new body contained. She struck her father and bit him, then was restrained by her older brother and father after a struggle. This was the last straw for her parents, who would not risk their reputation for their irresponsible, violent daughter.
She was forced to go to the reform school, but on the day that she had to go she ran away, bringing only a backpack and an adventure in mind to see outside the city she'd lived in.

Oh, the fabrics which hung from long strips of line, strung up between houses and trees; sagging under weight of drying garments in the noon sun. Gemslock could hardly admire the laundry at night, no; by then it was already taken in, safe. If she was lucky a lonely sock would be forgotten among the tough grass, dropped. This came with problems, as by day she felt a tinge of unease at being so close near the village's heart, that hit her ego like crests of waves - she was mostly fine due to her tiny-contained huge confidence, but when she nearly sprang from the tree it would be quenched by the reality of being seen. Occasionally a tamed dragon would halt nearby, curiously taste the air, then continue on perhaps at the ushering of their viking companion; the smell of a wild dragon, without the smell of humans, was perhaps something to stop by. Nevertheless, Gemslock was but a Tiny Terror, and regardless as to if she was wild or not, was not much of a threat that anyone might guess. Yet, desire gleamed in her great golden eyes, peering down through the wintry thickly-needled branches of an evergreen tree.
