[OOC: I would prefer a mod at first, but later on another character is welcomed to join in for any reason! :3]
After the laboratory, Shintara had opted to take a ferry from the island to Denton. She'd traversed southwards down roads and paths for a time as things grew more rural, swaths of land clear for crops and old trees with their branches splayed wide that had been left alone, untouched, watching over the fields. No longer was she alone, as a lithe white creature followed nearby her, sometimes running ahead a few paces or falling behind, but the sound of her paces was always present. Shintara was yet totally confident in her recently obtained Absol, and when the dark-type was walking in front of her the Pokemorph would screw up her face with an appraising, unsure look.
Once, the Absol padded to a halt. She flicked her head round to look at Shintara intently while the girl had been making that face of consideration. The girl sputtered and, to cover herself, furrowed her face with irritation. "What?!" She barked and her lips went thin. The Absol's attention coolly unfixed itself from Shintara and she began walking again, but slow enough that soon Shintara naturally came up beside her and the duo were walking alongside each other down the country path. Shintara's hands were in the pockets of her jeans to avoid accidentally brushing her partner Pokemon, but the Absol showed no ilk for the Pokemorph who recently came into ownership of her Pokeball.
Around them were farmhouses, some nearer to the road than others, the farther ones out in the fields like cut-outs and led to by thin trails, marked at the main road by crooked post-boxes. They were often accompanied by silos shining silver or barns bigger than the houses, or other tiny shacks that might hold smaller Pokemon, Shintara noted. They piqued Shintara's interest mildly and she thought she might go for a look at one, as she had never, during her time growing up in the city, really experienced farm life. "I think I might go have a peeksie," she spoke with mischief and a smile, but the Absol didn't follow her as she veered off the main road.
This disturbed the wolf-tinged girl and she stopped to face the Pokemon. "What is your problem?" she questioned, her black canine ears lying back slightly with irritation, "Why don't you follow me?" The second question was spoken with more impatience and self-doubt. The Absol grunted passively and walked on her own accord up to the mouth of a slender drive-way that ended at an average-looking farm house, a homey porch that wound around it with a cluster of chairs seen in the front, but no one seemed to be outside. The Absol looked from Shintara, up the path to the house, took a step toward it, then looked back to the Pokemorph.
"I was going to go 'round back, I think that might be funner than..." She debated what the Absol was proposing, exactly. "Knocking?" She murred with dislike while a teasing smile played on her lips, showing her yellow-tinted sharp fangs. The Absol was solid in her position like a stone statue, however, as she was a rather just creature by nature who did not want to see the girl who was in possession of her Pokeball get into trouble. Meanwhile, Shintara was wavering, as she did not want to cause a scene arguing with her Pokemon, nor did she particularly want to recall the Absol. She considered it, but ultimately gave in to the more law-abiding proposal. "We'll see." She huffed, and followed the Absol up to the house.
Shintara looked up at the house, her claws carefully gliding along the wooden hand rail that led up the steps creaking softly under her feet. Fields of all sorts remained the dominant scenery as she looked left and right for someone while standing in front of the door. The dark-type was silently observant and was alert for others. Curious, Shintara wandered around one side of the porch so that she could see the back; checking for people and also anything interesting. There were soft idle sounds of unidentifiable Pokemon. Shintara looked back around to the front door and the Absol was gazing at her awaitingly. With a quiet grumble, the girl returned and knocked on the front door of the farm house. The Absol, she thought, had seemed pretty determined in coming to this house.

((for future reference, be sure to include at the top of your first post in each new thread which pokemon your character has on them, at what levels and with what moves. it's just good to have the information there, since that way the mod (and you) can know what shin's team will be like in this thread, even if things are changing in other threads. obviously this doesn't apply as much right now because it's her first thread with a pokemon, but yeah! just make sure to do it in the future. :>)) After the knock, there were several seconds wherein no response came from inside the house. Then, however, shuffling footsteps could be heard approaching the door from the other side, and the door was swung open to reveal a tall, sleepy-looking man with a rather laughable case of bedhead. He blinked owlishly at Shintara, perhaps taking note of her obvious Pokemorph features and trying to decide what to think of her. "Hello," he said, putting a little smile on his face that meant apparently he was willing to be sociable with her. "Can I help you, li'l lady?" He spoke with an exceedingly thick drawl, which gave his words a honey-sweet, smooth quality to them. He did not seem to be making any effort to charm her, though. That was just his voice.
"If we have a guest, invite 'em to dinner!" a woman called from deeper into the farmhouse, her voice a cheery alto with a similar drawl. Behind the man at the door, suddenly three sets of scurrying footsteps could be heard rushing forward and coming to a halt right at the man's back; three almost identical, childlike faces peered up at Shintara as the trio cling to their relative's long, spindly legs.
"She's a morph!" one of them announced. "She is! Look at the ears!" another excitedly agreed. "Don't be rude!" snapped the last one, the only girl in the trio.
"Guys, go back inside," pleaded the tall man quietly, his voice exasperated. The three giggled and blew raspberries at him, unmoving, but he continued. "I'll be back at the table in a minute. Go on, your food is getting cold." At that they zipped away, reminded of the meal that awaited them. The tall man turned a sheepish look at Shintara. "Uh, if you want dinner, we got an extra seat."
