Frequently, trainers will find themselves fascinated by the miners of Terren City. They know the tunnels surrounding the city like the back of their own hand, and they return from their excursions with valuable jewels and fossils more often than not. Fortunately for those who want to get in on the action but aren't quite sure they have the mettle to go digging in the caves on their own, the miners will happily take visitors with them who are willing to help out, as long as those visitors are willing to pay up-front for the rights to whatever treasures they discover. However, the miners will only go out on excursions once per week, since they don't want to put too much strain on the tunnels; a cave-in would be devastating for the miners and all of Terren.
If your character is interested in going out to see what they can dig up, simply make a thread in this board to be used and re-used by one of your characters. (Multiple characters means multiple threads.) Within that thread, you are able to post once every seven days that you would like to pay to go mining. A mod will reply with the mining cost, which is always $1,000, and then will let you know which three items your character dug up this week. It is your responsibility to deduct the mining cost from your character's money stores, and then to decide if you'd like to keep these three items or sell some or all of them. In your response to the mod's post, state that you have subtracted the fee (so that the mod can double-check) as well as which items you would like to sell. The mod will then respond with the amount you have earned, if you choose to sell. After seven full days have passed since your first post requesting to pay the mining fee, you will be able to post again and get another three items.

You can never be sure what you're going to get from mining, and in fact, there's a very real possibility that you may not find anything at all on particularly unlucky trips into the caves.
