Before any berry farming can be done, prospective berry farmers need to purchase seeds to plant! Three different kinds of mystery seeds are offered by the owners of this establishment, and each kind of seed has a chance to grow different kinds of berries worth different amounts of money and with varying effects.
Basic Seed ($100):
The cheapest seeds. They will typically produce very common berries, though on occasion it seems a much rarer seed was mixed in by mistake.

So, you've made a post buying seeds. Now, on to step two: planting them! Within the same post you used to buy the seeds, you are able to say that you wish to plant x amount of seeds. Your character's plot of land is only big enough for 6 berry plants in total, so pick 6 lucky seeds to be planted. A mod will then post to confirm the amount that those seeds you are buying will cost.
Seeds take a full week to grow into a berry plant that can be harvested. That means that from the time of planting (which is considered to be the timestamp on the post you made for planting them), 7 full days must pass before you are able to post within the thread and harvest those berries. No matter how many seeds you choose to plant at one time, you will not be allowed to plant more until you have harvested what is currently planted. This is simply to make things less confusing for the mods as they are generating which berries you will receive and making sure that your plant is ready for harvesting.
After the 7 day period, you may post at any time to see which berries have grown and harvest them to keep or sell. After your post, a mod will then come in and post which berries you grew.
PLANTING BERRIES
If you already have some berries, you can choose to plant these instead of buying and planting seeds. The rules for planting berries are the same: you may plant up to 6 at a time, and however many you choose to plant will need 7 full days to grow before you may harvest them. When planting berries, each tree will yield 2 berries of the same kind that was planted. So, if I plant 6 Oran Berry trees, at the end of 7 days I will harvest 12 Oran Berries.

Once your character has grown some berries, you are able to choose whether they sell those berries or keep them to use them. If you choose to sell, all you have to do is post after the mod to say which berries you are selling and how many, and the mod will then let you know how much money you will make from the sale. Within this selling post you are also free to buy and plant more seeds, killing two birds with one stone.
Below all berry values are listed for your reference. Some berries are worth a great deal, while others may have more practical value than monetary value.
NOTE: Because this site does not use natures and therefore no Pokemon has a default flavor preference, the Figy, Wiki, Mago, Aguav, and Iapapa berries are guaranteed to confuse the Pokemon who eats them. Also, the Leppa berry is changed to have the same sort of effect as the Oran berry, since PP is not used on the site; both berries will simply energize and heal a Pokemon slightly. Because EVs do not exist on the site, being given a Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, Hondew, Grepa, or Tamato Berry will simply raise a Pokemon's friendship stat with no other effect. Finally, using a Micle or Custap Berry in battle will cause the Pokemon's next attack to be a guaranteed hit.
