If you're here, that probably means your character profile was accepted and moved to the appropriate board. Congratulations! Now, you have one more step before getting started with the roleplay, and that is creating a PC thread for your newly-accepted character. What is a PC thread, you ask? It is a big handy-dandy organizational thread wherein you will keep track of all the important information you or anyone else may need relevant to your character. Though there are a few sections which you are required to have in your PC thread, each within their own post, you are allowed to format almost all of these in any manner you wish, and you may have as many additional sections as you see fit, as long as the required information is all here and easily accessible.
The required sections are as follows:
- POKEMON: Just like viewing your character's Pokemon in a storage PC, this section of your PC thread should present all the information on each Pokemon your character has in their possession. If you choose to, you are free to make more than one post for the Pokemon section of your PC thread, allowing you to make one post for your character's active party and another for the Pokemon your character keeps in storage. This is up to your discretion. The basic information that should be contained in each Pokemon's mini-profile is their name, species, gender, ability, level, friendship level, moves, nature, and where your character acquired the Pokemon/how. When being given your starter, your mod will present you with a filled-out, basic mini-profile for your starter Pokemon, providing a reference of what you need to have within the profile. How you format the information, however, is up to you, and if you wish to elaborate on the Pokemon's personality within or in addition to their "nature" section, that is also your choice.
- INVENTORY: This section will simply keep track of all items in your character's possession. Though you are only expected to keep track of usable items your character acquires, such as Pokeballs and TMs, you may use this section to fully detail what your character carries with them on their travels, down to their sleeping bag and change of underwear. If you choose to do this, be sure that there is a clear distinction between the character's practical inventory (Pokeballs, Potions, etc.) and detailed inventory. Also be sure that you do not decide your character randomly has items very similar to ones that can be bought, such as yards of rope (too similar to the Escape Rope), because this simply invalidates the need to purchase items for use in roleplay situations.
- FINANCES: This section has the strictest format requirements, simply because money matters are the easiest for members to be dishonest with when they are managing their own money within their own post. The section is meant to serve as a log of all money gains and losses for your character. It begins stating the current amount your character has, then starts off the log with amount your character began their journey with (that is, $5,000), followed by all gains and expenses which occurred afterwards and how the money was earned or spent. As with all other sections, you may format this however you wish as long as the information is clearly there and is easy to read, but that only applies for the coding used within the section. The information itself must be presented in the specified format. See the example PC thread to get a better idea of what we expect.
- THREADS: This is the final required section. Here you are expected to link to all threads your character has participated in or is currently participating in. Note that completed threads will be moved to the archives, so you will have to update those threads' links accordingly when they are moved. This section may be formatted however you wish and may give as much or as little detail about each thread as you please, as long as every thread has been linked to. With this, it is possible to easily re-find old information. You do not need to link to shop threads, but do link to multi-use threads such as job threads in the lab and mining threads in Terren City.
You are free to add more sections than these four, but these four are required. Once you have created a PC thread for your character (note that characters cannot share a PC thread), link to the thread in your signature alongside the link to your character's profile.
