MARIT GYM : FLYING Unlike many other Marit Bay natives, Keaton turned to the skies for adventure, not to the seas. He was never much of a pirate, really; he was too chipper, too goofy and easygoing, less interested in profit and more interested in simply seeing the world and meeting new people. Some folks went so far as to consider him a fool, although he was far more clever than he typically let on. Those who got to know him came to realize he was just a good, honest, well-intentioned lad who happened to really like flying.
He may be simple enough, but Keaton is not to be underestimated in battle. His bond with his flying-types is so close that often he will not need to issue commands aloud, making him difficult to predict, especially when he often deviates from what is strategically sound in favor of making a battle more "fun." Wild and silly, he doesn't seem like much, but there's a reason why he's the final gym leader in Decona. The only reason he refuses to accept challengers with less than four gym badges is that he doesn't want to utterly destroy anyone who isn't ready to put up a real fight. Challengers should come prepared with a full team of six Pokemon, and if they're not about level 60, it's recommended to take some time to train them a bit before trying to pick a fight with Keaton. Keaton doesn't just take the league's word for it when deciding which challengers are worth fighting; if he has any doubts or concerns, he'll make the challenger have a short battle with George, a Rufflet Pokemorph and Keaton's "assistant." George may be little more than the warm-up round for the actual gym battle, and he'll gladly heal the challenger's team after their fight to be sure that they have a fair shot when they do go up against Keaton, but he's no pushover either despite his lazy grin and friendly disposition.
George's team:
Name: Walt Species: Braviary Gender: Male Ability: Sheer Force Level: 60 Friendship: 10 Moveset: Shadow Claw, Rock Slide, Fly, Bulk Up, Rock Smash, Peck, Leer, Fury Attack, Wing Attack, Hone Claws, Scary Face, Aerial Ace, Slash, Defog, Tailwind, Air Slash, Crush Claw, Sky Drop, Superpower, Whirlwind Nature: He has more than enough attitude to make up for George's easygoing personality. Walt is a fierce competitor who loves to prove that Keaton's challengers aren't up to snuff, demonstrating this by absolutely wrecking their faces before they even get a shot at him. Name: Josiah Species: Altaria Gender: Male Ability: Cloud Nine Level: 60 Friendship: 10 Moveset: Mirror Move, Flamethrower, Roost, Hyper Voice, Attract, Steel Wing, Pluck, Peck, Growl, Astonish, Sing, Fury Attack, Safeguard, Mist, Round, Natural Gift, Take Down, Refresh, Dragon Dance, Dragonbreath, Cotton Guard, Dragon Pulse, Perish Song Nature: This deceptively gentle- and sweet-looking creature holds great strength. He likes to lower his opponents' guard with moves like Sing and Attract, then quickly wipe them out with powerful moves like Steel Wing, Flamethrower, and Dragon Pulse while buffing himself up and healing any damage the opponent manages to deal. He's extremely frustrating to fight, especially since both he and his owner just look so serene while doing it. Name: Cam Species: Xatu Gender: Female Ability: Early Bird Level: 60 Friendship: 10 Moveset: U-Turn, Toxic, Light Screen, Reflect, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Aerial Ace, Signal Beam, Giga Drain, Heat Wave, Refresh, Peck, Leer, Night Shade, Teleport, Lucky Chant, Miracle Eye, Me First, Confuse Ray, Tailwind, Wish, Psycho Shift, Future Sight, Stored Power, Ominous Wind, Power Swap, Guard Swap Nature: Cam is extremely difficult to read; she doesn't really express herself in any way, shape, or form. She just stands there, and waits, and stares blankly, until right before her opponent makes a move, at which point she will act accordingly as if she knew exactly what move they were going to make all along. She seems to have a strategy for every situation, whether it's putting up defenses for her team and inflicting the opponent with a status ailment before switching out so a teammate can more effectively destroy them, or wiping out an ill-prepared enemy using her own strength while casually dealing with whatever the opponent throws at her. She is, despite appearances, perhaps the most dangerous of all of George's team. Defeating George awards $3000, a shot at fighting Keaton, and a quick rest before the gym battle. Defeating Keaton will earn victorious challengers their final badge, $9500, and a TM which teaches Acrobatics.
