Sometimes, a Pokemon has the natural potential to learn a move, but needs some assistance to make it happen. At the Decona Lab there is a team of scientists dedicated to helping Pokemon reach their potential and learn moves such as this! However, they do charge a fee to help trainers and their Pokemon when they provide such a service. Their experiments aren't free, and they need to make a living!
So, if you have a Pokemon that you'd like to teach a forgotten move or a move than can only be learned through a move tutor, this is the place. It will cost $2,000 per move taught, and the Pokemon can only be taught moves that they are currently capable of learning; that is, they must be at the proper evolutionary stage, and they must be at the proper level if it is a move learned by level-up. Egg moves can be taught for $3,500 per move. To know which moves your Pokemon can be taught, use reference sites like this one: as you can see, if you scroll towards the bottom of the page, there is a section which lists "Move Tutor Attacks" that the Pokemon can learn. Always use a list of moves that can be learned by that Pokemon in the most recent game in the most recent generation. Because the moves that can be learned by Pokemon almost always changes a little bit over generations, it is important for consistency's sake that the most recent lists are used. However, in the event that a new game or generation is released where your Pokemon would not be able to learn some moves that it already knows, your Pokemon may retain those moves. It simply will no longer be able to learn new moves from the older generation.
If you're interested in utilizing the move tutor service, simply post within this thread. You must include within your post the mini profile of each Pokemon you'd like to tutor, in addition to which moves you would like them to be taught. A mod will then check that the Pokemon can learn the requested moves, and respond with a confirmation as well as the total cost of the tutoring. You must then subtract the cost from your character's funds and add the new moves to your Pokemon's roster.
